How To Deep Clean Your Norwex Microfiber Cloths

How To Deep Clean Your Norwex Microfiber Cloths

Did you know that Norwex Microfiber has the ability to remove up to 99% of bacteria from a surface when following proper care and use instructions?

What is the proper usage?

First rinse the cloth with water, fold in thirds and then in half and wring the cloth until all the water is out.  Flat fold your cloth to create 8 cleaning surfaces and then get to work wiping with even strokes on hard surfaces!!!

The cloths are made with superior microfiber, 1/200th the size of human hair.  It is one of the most innovative product in the cleaning industry and only requires water to clean.  These microfibers are absorbent and designed to pick up and hold dust, dirt and debris.  Baclock™ in the cloth goes to work to self-purify and inhibit odors from bacteria, mold and mildew growth within the cloth. But over time the microfiber requires a deep clean to swell the fibers and totally release the debris that it has been collecting.

How to properly care for your cloths:

How to properly deep clean your cloths:

Deep cleaning should be done every 6 months, or after a dirty job, like washing outdoor windows or outdoor furniture, or if your cloths become stained.

Here are the simple steps to deep clean your EnviroCloths, Kitchen Cloths, Window Cloths, etc…

Step #1: Grab all your Norwex cloths.  Toss them in your sink. Sprinkle a capful of Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent. Note: Do small batches… you want your cloths to get really clean!!!

Step #2: Pour boiling water over the cloths. See how brown the water becomes!

Step #3: Stir the cloths and watch the dirt release.  Note: You may need to do this step a few times.  You know you are done when the water is clear.

You are complete and your cloths are good as new!!!  Give it a try and give your cloths a fresh start.

EnviroCloth — New & Improved!!!

EnviroCloth — New & Improved!!!

Isn’t it wonderful when something fabulous gets even more fabulous? The Norwex number one, top-selling item, the EnviroCloth that started Norwex, is now New and Improved !!!

3 things have improved…

  1. COLOUR

For the past nine years I’ve been asked, “what’s with the colour palette for the EnviroCloths???”!!! These cloths have always been available in four colors – red, yellow, blue & green – and now it is available in grey. The grey colour is not only trendy for home decor but it is also practical for hiding stains. It is universal to match any home! The yellow EnviroCloth is now discontinued (that’s okay, it was dedicated for my toilets anyway 🙂 ).

2. MAGNETIC CORNER

Not only is the grey EnviroCloth available in the regular size, it is now also available in a larger size with an added magnet… keeping the Magnetic EnviroCloth convenient and always within reach. Hang it on your fridge, washing machine, barbecue, toolbox, fitness equipment, stroller handle, or simply on your stove. Quick and easy for drying your hands, wiping down a dirt surface, removing streaks and smears, or for drying out the inside ring of your washing machine seal. The magnet makes it quick and easy to hanging your cloth up to dry. This strong magnet in the corner of the cloth will keep your cloth handy 24/7.

3.  MORE MICROFIBER

It gets even better!! For years the EnviroCloth has contained 2.9 million meters of microfiber, which was awesome, but now they are even thicker with more than 10 million feet  / 3 million meters of fiber in every Norwex EnviroCloth.   Making the fiber in each cloth one hundred thousand meters longer.  The fibers in the cloth are still a minimum of  1/200th the size of a human hair.   If you were to unravel the fiber in one cloth, you could reach from Canada all the way to the Gulf of Mexico.

You can FEEL the difference. This makes the cloth more absorbent, totally replaces the need for paper towel, it traps dust and grime inside the cloth and leaves your surfaces streak-free and shiny, all with one amazing cloth. The EnviroCloth replaces the need for any toxic chemicals that used to occupy the space underneath your kitchen sink. Just add water to the EnviroCloth and it has the ability to remove up to 99% of the bacteria from a surface when following the proper care and use instructions.

A FEW USAGE & CARE TIPS:

Norwex Microfiber has the ability to remove up to 99% of bacteria from a surface when following the proper care and use instructions.   But, how old are your Norwex EnviroCloths? Do you know when a your cloth need to be replaced?

envirocloth riddle

Of course, you can still use these older cloths for detailing the inside of your vehicle, wiping down the barbecue or inside your oven, the patio furniture and outside windows. But if you are wanting to clean a surface with an EnviroCloth as a chemical replacement, ensure that the cloth is less than two years old.

You can also use the EnviroCloth dry and with power of static electricity, it will lift small particles of dirt and dust up into the cloth and prevent it from resettling on your surface. Use it damp for heavily soiled areas and it will pick up everything just by using water.

Norwex is the leading distributor of microfiber products globally. Norwex has cutting edge technology in the microfiber industry with micro silver-embedded BacLock™, that goes to work to self-purify and inhibit odors from bacteria, mold and mildew growth within the cloth within 24 hours so that it is ready to use again. Norwex offers one of the most innovative products in the cleaning industry today. The cloths are totally effective to clean your home, just by using water.

The care for the Norwex EnviroCloth is simple. Launder your cloths in the washing machine on a hot cycle with scent-free detergent like Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent and dry them in the dryer with Dryer Balls. Always launder them with lint free clothing articles. Never use fabric softener nor bleach. Never submerge them into soapy water. Only use laundry soap for washing your cloths or deep soaking them.

For heavily soiled or stained cloths, pour boiling water over your cloth in a pot or Pyrex dish. Let it sit and soak for 10 minutes. You can also sprinkle in a little bit of Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent for extra cleaning power. Then launder as usual.

A FEW NEW PRODUCTS:

The thicker improved EnviroCloth is now available in the Travel Pack sets and the Magnetic EnviroCloth.  And don’t forget that it comes in GREY!!!

Oops, I Ruined That Cloth…

Oops, I Ruined That Cloth…

My oldest sister was the first person to officially introduce me to Norwex, she blessed me with my first Window Cloth.  It didn’t come with instructions so, uninformed, I proceeded to use it with Windex.  I was under the impression that the cloth was intended to replace your paper towel…  So, I was terribly unimpressed with the job it did.  Between using it with a cleaning solution and laundering it incorrectly, I ruined the cloth and ultimately gave up.

However a year later, I watched my other sister who’s nine years older than me remove her makeup with a Body Pack cloth and water.  I told her jokingly that she looked my age and that I needed to learn the secrets of her skincare regimen, so I could stay looking younger than her.

She then explained she had originally purchased the Norwex Body Pack cloths for her teenage son for use on his acne-prone skin, but they seemed to serve a double purpose.  Not only did the cloth improve his teenage skin; it removed all of her makeup including the waterproof mascara! I was impressed… and I needed a set of these cloths!

Shortly after that encounter, I got my first-ever Body Pack cloth and this time I asked some questions to learn the care tips.

Proper care is very important to enjoy your cloths for years to come.  Here is a quote from a faithful customer of mine since 2006:

I follow Delores’ laundering instructions, and my cloths have always smelled fresh and clean.  No smelly cloths at my house.  ~ Michelle Kool, Edmonton, Alberta

To Properly Care for Your Microfiber:

  • Launder in the washing machine and dryer
    • The washing machine has a strong spin and rinse cycle to remove all of the excess soap from your cloths, so that no residue remains in the fibers.  The dryer perks up the ‘spokes’ in your microfiber, making them ready to work hard for you again.
  • Launder in hot water with a scent-free detergent
  • Lint-free laundry only!
    • The lint from your regular laundry will get stuck into the perky ‘spokes’ of the Norwex microfiber and will reduce the cloth’s effectiveness.  The best suggestion is to launder microfiber items separately.  If you are just starting your collection, and have only a few items, launder your cloths with high Lycra fitness clothing or other lint-free items.
  • No fabric softener or bleach
    • Do not use any chemicals with your Norwex products!  For a fabric softener alternative, try the Norwex trio of Fluff and Tumble Dryer Balls.  They will reduce your drying time by 25%.  If you love the scent of fabric softener, add some essential oils right to the wool dryer ball.
    • Some customers like to add a cap full of  Odour Eliminator into each washing machine load.  This enzyme-based product smells nice and removes any unwanted odours.

Usage:

  • Avoid the temptation to submerge your Enviro and Kitchen Cloths in the kitchen sink of soapy water.  Norwex cloths are only to be used with water, no soap.  Use one cloth in your kitchen for 2-3 days, then launder.
  • The Body Pack cloths are sold in a set of three.  One set of cloths is intended for one person, for a week.  Use a fresh cloth, every other day.
  • A lack of laundering and the overuse of your cloths will result in unpleasant odour.
