Healthy home, family, and the world! Norwex, every day for everyone.
Spotty appliances, messy countertops, and a dirty sink. Can you relate? Who hasn’t had a spill in the oven or an explosion in the microwave? Some can’t live with a mess, others don’t care. Kids or pets? Mirrors and windows get smudged. Life gets messy. Who wouldn’t want to reduce their cleaning time by 75% and use products that will protect their health?
My dad passed away from cancer when I was in my twenties. Back then, the trendy expressions like “clean living”, “carbon footprint” or “body burden” had not been spoken in my world. Little did I know, I was exposed to toxins daily through the use of common household and personal care products, simply by inhaling their fumes, ingesting food or through my skin’s absorption. Everything and everyone, from newborns to seniors, is wiping or being wiped with something. I’m passionate about educating our society that it has options. Who knew water and a cloth could remove all of the harmful cleaning products from our home? Hey, there’s nothing better than water – we can all drink to that!
While raising our three daughters, the humour of life hit many times. Crayon art on the walls, milk dumped into the sofa, missed potty training attempts, bountiful laundry, sticky floors and fingers made my “Dutch cleaning spirit” deflate with discontent. Perfection was unattainable, time was limited and the tidy was never done. Norwex was my solution. As a consultant, I teach my customers to take a cleaning moment so they’ll never need a cleaning day. Eco-friendly, healthy solutions for day-to-day cleaning and personal care! Welcome to my world – those who hate cleaning can be done super fast… there are bike rides awaiting and games of cribbage to be played!! Those who love cleaning, well… go crazy… these products will give you palpitations… they’ll blow you away with their efficiency and ability!
I became a consultant in 2006, with the goal to educate. My desire was to shift the way consumers were thinking and to bring awareness. We do have choices. Shoppers can spend their hard earned income wisely.
- The Environmental Working Group has detected 287 chemicals in the cord blood of newborns. Of these, 212 chemicals were banned more than 30 years ago. In most cases, these chemicals were passed from the grandmother to the birthmother… and now onto the new infant. Once introduced into our bodies, we pass it on.
- Leukaemia, brain cancer, and other childhood cancers have increased more than 20% since 1975.
- 62% in acute lymphocytic leukemia
- 40% increase in childhood brain cancer
- Environmental factors (including toxic chemicals) and not heredity plays the principal role in causing cancer.
- 90% of childhood cancer may be explained by environmental exposures.
- 150 chemicals found in the home are connected to allergies, birth defects, cancer and psychological disorders.
Since 2006, the ripple effect of my decision has impacted and spread across North America with team members accumulating to over 10,000 consultants. Each of them is passionate about educating their families and communities. Our team has received annual accolades nationally and internationally for being top in sales and team building. Helping other consultants build a successful business has brought me dear friendships, community, and joy.
What did you want to be when you “grew up”? This simple farm girl from northern B.C. who dreamed of being a teacher would never have guessed that she would have the privilege to educate thousands and be self-employed doing what she is passionate about and loves…every day!
Three groups of people are very important to me. First, my customers: You trust my advice and teach me new purposes for the product. Second, my hosts: You invite me into your homes, your safe place… and introduce to me all of your favourite people. Third, my consultants: You inspire me to grow and to work with integrity and authenticity. Together, we convert thousands of homes into safe havens every year.
All three of these significant groups make me jump excitedly to my feet every day to work hard and do my best!
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.”
~ Margaret Mead
